Prof Thomas P. Crocker, Distinguished Associate Professor of Law at the University of South Carolina

Neil MacCormick Room, 30 July 2013, 15:00 to 17:00

Prof Croker has been awarded a Visiting Research Fellowship at the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities for work on Overcoming Necessity: Emergency, Constraint, and the Meanings of American Constitutionalism. The book, under contract with Yale University Press, defends normative conceptions of constitutionalism in light of contemporary national security policies, confronting the ways that necessity arguments challenge established normative orders within constitutional systems.
